Be a Part of Our Writing Team
We are constantly in search of talented writers who can impress our readers with their unique ideas and contribute to the progress of our industry. If you have an idea that can make a difference, we encourage you to reach out to us. But even if your idea is not revolutionary, we are interested in your fresh perspective on a topic that excites you.
However, we do not compromise on quality. We strive for excellence and will push you to deliver your best work. Once your article is accepted, our team will provide you with valuable feedback and work with you closely to make any necessary revisions.
But the effort is well worth it. Writing for us is an opportunity to learn, grow, and hone your communication, writing, and subject-matter skills.
What We Are Seeking
The more comprehensive your submission, the better feedback we can offer. Please note that we only publish original content and do not accept anything that has been published previously, even on your personal blog.
We also ask that you refrain from sending us press releases or sales pitches, as they do not align with our vision.
Before submitting, please review our style guide and recent articles to understand our structure and formatting. Your submission should:
- Have a clear thesis and argument, rather than just a list of tips and tricks.
- Have a distinctive voice that is confident, engaging, and relatable.
- Be written for our target audience or similar professionals.
- Be supported by facts and sources, not just opinions.
- Adhere to our style guide.
What We Publish
Our articles typically range from 600 to 2,500 words, with an average length of 1,500 words. They may be casual or structured and often include custom illustrations. All articles should be thought-provoking explorations of current topics in our industry.
How to Submit and What Happens Next
To submit your article, please email us a Google document or plaintext file. You may also provide a link to an HTML document. (Please do not send a ZIP file of assets unless requested by an editor.)
Here’s what happens after you submit:
- An editor will review your submission and evaluate its potential fit. If it seems like a good fit, the entire team will review and discuss it. This happens once a week.
- The editor will collect feedback from the team and provide you with notes. (We rarely accept an article on the first attempt, but we will inform you if we are interested.)
- After addressing our comments, please send us your revised draft. The team will review it again and let you know if we want to publish it.
- If your article is accepted, an editor will work with you closely on organization, argumentation, and style.
Once revisions are complete, we will schedule your article for publication. Please note that we cannot provide a specific publication date until the article is almost ready to be published.
Additionally, as a writer for us, you will have the chance to showcase your expertise and reach a large and engaged audience. We are excited to read your submissions and work with you to bring your ideas to life.
